"Ready or Not 2" Was... Actually Pretty Good!

A Surprisingly Good Time With âReady or Not 2: Here I Comeâ
Okay, so I just got back from seeing âReady or Not 2: Here I Come,â and, honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. Iâll admit, the first âReady or Notâ wasâŠintense. A lot of running, a lot of screaming, and, well, a lot happening. I wasn't sure if they could recapture that magic, or if it would feel like they were just trying to repeat something that worked before.
But it really holds up! Samara Weaving is, as always, fantastic. She's really good at playing that sort of ânormal person thrown into a completely insane situationâ role. And the Le Bail family? They're still delightfully creepy. I think they leaned a little more into the comedic side this time, which, I wasnât expecting, but I didnât mind. It lightened the mood a little, which I appreciated.
The plot is, well, more of the same, really. More family games, more fighting for survival, moreâŠeverything. But itâs done in a clever way. It doesnât quite reach the shock value of the first movie, maybe, but it's still a really fun ride.
Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 75%, which feels about right. Itâs not going to change your life or anything, but if youâre looking for a fun, suspenseful, and slightly ridiculous movie to see with friends, Iâd definitely recommend checking it out. I went with Mark and Sarah from accounting, and they both seemed to enjoy it. Everyone was happy, and nobody was offended, which is always a good sign!
