Folks, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. A lot of observing. And what I’m observing isn’t just the decline of traditional values – though Lord knows there’s plenty of that to go around these days – it’s something… deeper. Something ancient.

Now, I was tasked with writing about this “Cthulhu” fellow, and frankly, the research has been… unsettling. Apparently, this isn't some new TikTok trend or the latest California lifestyle guru. No, sir. This is, according to those who claim to know, a monstrous entity dwelling in the depths of the Pacific. A colossal squid, essentially, with wings and… tentacles. A lot of tentacles.

The details are, frankly, disturbing. This “Cthulhu” – and I use the term loosely – is supposedly the leader of a pre-human race of beings. Pre-human! As if humanity isn't enough of a mess already, now we’re dealing with the prospect of civilizations that existed before we did? It’s a clear attempt to undermine the very foundation of our understanding of history, of our place in God’s creation.

And the truly frightening part isn't the creature itself, though its description is enough to give a decent man nightmares. It's what this… "Cthulhu" represents. The internet is rife with people claiming to worship this thing. They talk about it being a "Great Old One" and its influence on dreams and… well, frankly, things I won’t repeat in a family newspaper. It’s a cult of cosmic nihilism, folks! A rejection of everything we hold dear.

Some say it’s the product of a writer’s imagination. A “short story” from the 1920s. But I say, imagination can be a dangerous thing. Especially when it taps into something… primal. Something that preys on our fears.

Consider this: we’re constantly bombarded with messages telling us there is no truth, no meaning, no order. That everything is relative. And now, right on cue, comes this tale of a being that embodies chaos and preys on the sanity of those who look upon it? I think it's no coincidence.

This isn’t about giant squids, folks. It’s about the erosion of faith, the breakdown of society, and the creeping darkness that threatens to engulf us all. We need to be vigilant. We need to reaffirm our values. And we certainly need to stay away from the Pacific Ocean. You don’t want to wake up something that’s been sleeping for millennia. Trust me on this one.
